John Calvin: “The Psalmist farther aggravates his complaint by the additional circumstance, that he was cruelly cast off by his own relations and friends; from which we are taught, that when by our devotedness to the cause of religion we cannot avoid exciting the displeasure of our brethren against us, it is our duty simply to follow God, and not to confer with flesh and blood” (Comm. on Ps. 69:8).

This evening we witness the baptism of Aaysha, Somaya and Yossef Gould. We pray that the Lord will continue to give Kerryann grace and strength to raise her children in the fear of the Lord.

Ivan Ortu and Colm Ring appeared before the Council to make confession of their faith. Both men gave a good confession and showed good understanding of the doctrines taught in the CPRC. Their public confessions of faith are scheduled to take place next Sunday morning.

Tuesday Bible study at 11 AM will meet to continue our consideration of the Amyraldian corruption of saving faith.

The Reformed Witness Hour broadcast next Lord’s day (Gospel 846 MW at 8:30 AM) by Rev. R. Kleyn is entitled, “The Blessing on Joseph” (Gen. 48; 49:22-26).

Next Sunday evening will be a preparatory service with the view to partaking of the Lord’s Supper in the morning of 26 June.

Everyone is invited to a barbecue at the manse (weather permitting) on Friday, 24 June, at 6:30 PM or as soon as you can make it thereafter. In order to know how much food is needed, please let the Stewarts know if you plan to come.

Please reserve Wednesday, 29 June, for our annual general meeting.
