Quotes to Consider:

Matthew Henry on II Chronicles 24: “When [Joash] did that which was right it was not with a perfect heart. He never was sincere, never acted from principle, but in compliance to Jehoiada, who had helped him to the crown, and because he had been protected in the temple and rose upon the ruins of idolatry; and therefore, when the wind turned, he turned with it … See how necessary it is that, as our Saviour speaks, we have salt in ourselves, that we act in religion from an inward principle, which will carry us on through all changes. Then the loss of a parent, a minister, a friend, will not involve the loss of our religion.”

Encouraging Quotes:

“Reading Prof. Dykstra’s editorial (Standard Bearer, 1 March) has made me realize that I need to read the liturgical forms and Church Order, so I am glad that you have The Confessions and Church Order of the PRC in the bookstore. Would you please send me a copy …” – Yorkshire, England

“I was blessed by the Lord with the opportunity to watch the Calvinism vs. Arminianism debate on YouTube, and felt led by the Lord to thank you for your obedience to Him and your clear, powerful, biblical teaching regarding the depravity of man and other tenants of Calvinism. It seems that many Christians form their ideas about who our Lord is very early on based on their own ideas, and are not willing to reform their thoughts to be more like God’s thoughts. Perhaps they put too much value in their initial emotions when introduced to difficult theological concepts … I urge you to continue with your great boldness in the glorious doctrines …” – Kentucky, USA

“I appreciate so much your ministry and e-mails. I am blessed as I download your preaching. I also learned that your church building will be dedicated some time in August which I am rejoicing with you because God supplied all of your needs and you have a permanent place of worship.” – Philippines

“I must say that you thoroughly supported your case on the radio against women holding office in the church. I was glad your clear apologetics did great justice to the clear teaching of the Word.” – Co. Down

“Many thanks for your very clear and courageous exposition of this subject [‘The Outrage at Gibeah’], denouncing, without equivocation, the gross evil of sodomy. Thanks also for glorifying our blessed Redeemer. May He continue to supply your every need to carry out this valuable ministry; and protect you from the hatred of those who violently oppose the truth.” – Cumbria, England

“Recently I watched ‘World in Focus’ where you debated with a certain Arminian minister. I fully support the Calvinist Reformed view of the Scriptures. Arminianism is such a serious issue/error in today’s church. I just wish that Christians would take our Three Forms of Unity more seriously.” – Auckland, New Zealand

“Thank you for pointing me to the Romans 9 sermons. I’ll start downloading them … Compliments on your website and thanks for it. Your writings and sermons (and writings by other folks) are extensive and highly educational. I’ve already enjoyed a couple of your sermons on election in the last couple of days along with your lecture on ‘Does God Really Desire to Save the Reprobate?’” – Madrid, Spain

“Thank you for participating in the televised [Calvinism vs. Arminianism] debate. Although I dread calling myself a Calvinist, I cannot read the Scriptures any other way. I appreciated the civil and loving delivery of your answers.” – USA

“We listened to the sermon on Romans 11:25-27 last night on ‘The Mystery of the Salvation of All Israel.’ Just wanted to let you know that again this was a really helpful exposition of a passage that has caused a lot of difficulty before, for me at least. The folks here were very appreciative and wanted to let you know about it … It is unfortunate that so much false teaching has had a bad effect on our scriptural understanding especially where a passage seems difficult to understand.” – Limerick

“I am being really challenged by the Judges 19-21 sermon series and want to encourage you in your work. This is a much needed series and I appreciate the effort you have made and it is evident that God is leading you on these issues.” – Edinburgh, Scotland

“Thank you for sharing this important insight on the subject of common grace [in the Covenant Reformed News] … I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the rich and very informative sermons you made available on your website. Your talks and debates have been an important source of my spiritual nourishment and my appetite in reading the Bible daily has been greatly increased through the insights you provided. May God continue to bless your ministry.” – Canada

“I got the flyer of the photos of the new church building with the Covenant Reformed News. This is great to see. May the Lord bless the CPRC!” – Co. Armagh

“Thank you for the last lot of tapes. They give me understanding of gospel truths … What a handsome church building God has given you all! Please accept the little gift towards the building fund …” – S. Wales

“Thank you so much for sharing your information as to the Facebook account. These last five years I have been looking through the internet for real Calvinist doctrine. It seems to me that your church is out of the few churches that stand for, and are congruent to, the Reformed faith.” – Mexico

“I just finished reading an article by Martyn McGeown entitled ‘The Resurrection of a French Heresy: Joshua De La Place’s Denial of the Immediate Imputation of Adam’s Sin to His Posterity.’ I thought it was an excellent article! Tonight, I hope to begin reading your article on ‘Amyraldianism and the Formula Consensus Helvetica.’ I really appreciate having the opportunity to get these articles. They are a real help to my research.” – Arkansas, USA
