Announcements (subject to God’s will)
On the back table is an A4 sheet containing both a letter from Rev. Lanning about ecumenical relations with the CERC (Singapore) and a letter about the Philippines.
A schedule for family visitation is on the back of this bulletin. Please try to make the dates and times work as much as possible, since rearranging slots means rearranging schedules for other members. If you do need to reschedule or if you are not a member but would like to be included in family visitation, talk to Rev. Stewart or one of the elders.
In order to encourage as many people as possible to come to the British Reformed Fellowship (BRF) Family Conference in Scotland, the coach to and from Gartmore House is being paid out of the profits (over many years) of the CPRC Bookstore account (not out of CPRC offerings). The 53-seater coach will be leaving the CPRC car park on Saturday morning (26 July) for the Stena ferry from Belfast (to Cairnryan) and returning to the church on Saturday evening (2 August). This will help CPRC members and friends, Prof. and Mrs. Hanko (Prof. will be preaching for the CPRC on the Sunday after the conference) and members of the PRC who will be in N. Ireland before and/or after the conference. This will also serve as a thank you to those who use the coach who bring PR books and pamphlets over for the Bookstore (saving high international postage costs) and it will enable the Bookstore to bring a good range of materials to the conference (and back). The BRF will pay for the 7 days that the coach is at the conference and the people going on the two day trips (to Edinburgh and St. Andrews) will pay for their own fares. If you have not yet booked your place at the conference, there are booking forms on the back table. Please sign up and and make payment as soon as you can in order to help the organizers make arrangements regarding the coach, the ferry, the conference centre, the room allocations and the day trips.
Rev. McGeown leaves tomorrow for the US to attend the PR Synod on behalf of the CPRC. While he is away, the LRF will watch the live CPRC Sunday broadcasts on video (1 & 15 June) and Rev. Stewart will preach for the LRF on 8 June, when the CPRC will have PR sermons shown on our projector screen.
The Tuesday Bible study meets at 11 AM to look at Christ’s teaching on the second and third use of the law.
The Reformed Witness Hour broadcast next Lord’s Day (Gospel 846MW at 8:30 AM) is entitled “Jesus’ Desire for Us to Be With Him” (John 17:24).
Offerings: General – £628.69.
Website Additions: 1 Spanish and 1 Swedish translations.
PRC News: Rev. Spronk (Peace, IL) declined the call to Doon PRC.
