Quotes to Consider

F. W. Krummacher: “It is not difficult to bear the adversities which one experiences without, if one can only look back to his home as to a beloved peaceful dwelling in which are found harmony and love, yea, as to a ‘tabernacle of God with the children of men.’ A ‘house-cross’ is the heaviest of all earthly crosses. The gall which is mingled in our cup by those who are nearest to us surpasses all other in bitterness. David must, through God’s appointment, and through His righteous permission abundantly experience this” (David: King of Israel, p. 308).
