Quotes to Consider:
E. J. Young on Isaiah 35:1: “The language of this chapter is unusually beautiful, for under the figure of a barren land now clothed with luxuriant flowers, such as Palestine itself, where during the winter months the hillsides and fields are covered with the red anemone, the prophet sets forth the truth that God has prepared a place for those who love Him. A period of great blessing will have come to the Church, which is perhaps foreshadowed by the return of the Jews from exile, but above all which finds its realization in the saving work of the Lord. In this land of wondrous delight and beauty there is peace and blessing, for it is Immanuel’s land, and its blessings are for those who have been redeemed by the King Himself.”
