A letter from the Philippines (introducing Rev. Leovy Trinidad and the Maranatha Protestant Reformed Church) is available on the back table.

Everyone is invited to stay for tea after the evening service and then Rev. Paulraj will be giving a presentation on his work in India. Rev. Paulraj was trained by Rev. Kortering in Singapore and has had contact with the PRC, especially Rev. Haak and Georgetown PRC, for a number of years. After the presentation, an offering bag will be set at the back for those who would like to help the work of the ministry in India.

Tuesday Bible study meets at 11 AM. In our study of “Christ’s Controversies,” we will be looking at his controversies over the Sabbath.

Belgic Confession Class meets this Wednesday at 7:45 PM to continue with article 21b and 3 more false theories of Christ’s atonement. Handouts are on the back table.

The Council will meet this week Thursday, 12 September, at 7:30 PM.

S. Wales Lecture: Rev. McGeown will give a lecture in Porthcawl this Thursday, 12 September, on “God’s Sovereignty in Our Afflictions.” Please remember this lecture and the saints in S. Wales in your prayers.

The Reformed Witness Hour broadcast next Lord’s Day (Gospel 846MW at 8:30 AM) is entitled “Not Weary in Well Doing” (Gal. 6:9) .

At the request of Rev. McGeown, there will be a pulpit swap next Lord’s Day, so Rev. McGeown will preach for the CPRC while Rev. Stewart preaches in the LRF.

Last Sunday, the congregation re-elected Philip Hall to serve a 3-year term as deacon. His installation will take place on 22 September.

Offerings: General Fund – £506.70. Building Fund – £274.60.

Website Additions: 1 Portuguese, 2 Hiligaynon and 4 Italian translations were added.

PRC News: Faith PRC called Rev. Griess (Calvary, IA). Doon PRC will call from a trio of Revs. Marcus, W. Langerak and R. Kleyn.


BALLYMENA GUARDIAN – 10 September, 2013

Indian Pastor to Speak in Ballymena

Hailing from the city of Vellore in Tamil Nadu in southern India (some 5,000 miles to the east and south of Ballymena and 5 ½ hours ahead of the British Isles), Rev. J. Y. Paulraj is making his first visit to mid-Antrim this week.

Pastor PaulrajAfter receiving his theological training in India and Singapore, he pastors a Reformed church in Vellore, where he and his wife, Kasthuri, oversee the Grace Foster Home. Rev. Paulraj is engaged in extensive evangelism with his coworkers in outlying villages (where Tamil is spoken) and amongst doctors and medical students at a nearby hospital and college (where English is spoken).

This Sunday evening (8 September) at 7:45PM, Pastor Paulraj will give a PowerPoint presentation on his work in Vellore, India, in the Covenant Protestant Reformed Church (CPRC), 83 Clarence Street (off the Cullybackey Road), Ballymena.
