Our mid-week Bible Study begins this week Wednesday at 7:45 PM at the manse. We will be studying the Unconditional Covenant. The CPRC Council encourages everyone to attend.
Rev. & Mary Stewart will be travelling to S. Wales this week Friday. Rev. Stewart will deliver a lecture entitled “Covenant Baptism.”
The Reformed Witness Hour next Lord’s Day, 17 September (8:30-9:00 AM, on Gospel 846MW) is entitled “The Separated Life” (Neh. 13:1-3).
Last Week’s Offerings: General Fund – £1,127.30, Building Fund – £308.20. Donations: £20 (CR News), £140 (tapes).
We were able to claim back £2,337.36 in Gift Aid for the financial year 2004-2005. Under the Gift Aid scheme, the CPRC is able to claim back from the civil government about 25% of the offerings of those who pay income tax. Those who pay income tax who are not currently members of the Gift Aid scheme can approach our treasurer, Ivan Reid. It is very simple to join and costs you nothing. Since we began this financial year as the CPRF, those in the Gift Aid scheme who give their offerings by cheque should make them payable to the “CPRF” and not the CPRC.
PRC News: Immanuel PRC (Lacombe, AB, Canada) has begun planning a Young Adults Retreat for 25-29 June, 2007. It will be hosted, the Lord willing, at the Goldeye Centre in Nordegg (www.goldeye.org).
